Welcome to DaveDeJohn.com
Dave has started and lead multiple men’s ministries creating life changing programs that improved the lives of men around the country, both personally and spiritually.
One of the most important and successful things I taught was a lesson I called “Bridging the Gaps”> it is a very quick and easy way to help people identify and accept their weaknesses. It could be done as a Christian, husband, father, wife, mother, child, employee, boss, etc.
Here is an example of how it works:
For men as a husband.
I want you to think of someone you really admire and respect as a husband, seriously consider their traits, their characteristics, how they handle things. Think about what traits you admire about that person. But don’t say who it is out loud (give them a minute or two to think it through).
I want you to consider the traits you admire and respect the most about them. Those are probably weaknesses in your life. How can I be so confident? Because I have never met anyone that admires or respects traits about someone that is lessor than their own.
They say identifying the problem is 50% of the battle.
Now that you have identified it or multiple areas, what are you going to do about it?
Since you know what traits you admire, this excercize also gives you the answer, the solution to HOW you act, WHAT you should change, and WHEN should you start? Right now today. Take that one thing or multiple things you identified and start changing them today.
You have to make a CONCIOUS decision to make those changes
And
You have to make a CONCIOUS effort to make those changes
Change is difficult for most people, because we have formed habits. You can try to struggle through cnaging by yourself, or you can pray for strength, direction and wisdom from the Holy Spirit to break the chains of those old habits right now. Walk in faith (not hope) that God will help you become the new person you want to be.
A business development manual based on biblical principles that Dave used to create and succeed in business. This book is in the final stretch.
Why do I believe this book is necessary?
Because it is sad and even scary to see so many Christians jeapordise their walk with God to become successful, to increase their finances. Every book, audio, or seminar I’ve seen (their might be something out there that’s Biblically based but I haven’t seen it yet) integrates nonbiblical phylosophies, some absolutely blatant and some very, very subtle where most Christians will not even notice it. But consider this, take a gallon of water and add just a small amount of poison, what happens? It affects the purity of the entire gallon of water.
Galatians 5:9 Amplified Version explains it completely “9 A little [a]leaven [a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers] leavens the whole batch [it perverts the concept of faith and misleads the church].”
It might be as obvious as telling the readers, listeners to develop their own inner circle to gain wisdom from deceased great geniuses of the past. The Bible says that practice is an abomination. Detestable (depending on the Bible version) to the Lord.
Deuteronomy 18:11-12 Amplified Bible says: “or one who casts a charm or spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or a necromancer [who seeks to talk to and get wisdom from the dead]. For everyone who does these things is utterly repulsive to the Lord; and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God is driving them out before you.”
The book or audio might talk about the creator of the universe, or supreme being, and the reader or listener might ASSUME they mean the God of the Bible. But do you understand every other religion thinks their god is the creator of the universe. This opens the reader/listener to accept principles and teachings in future chapters that they don’t realize goes against the Bible. Some talk about tapping into the power of the universe to gain whatever they want, like God only exists to grant their wishes. The TRUTH is there is a power in the universe that can help grant people’s wishes, he is know as satan. But that success comes with a price most Christians never realize. It starts with small compromises, then subtly without realizing it leads the Christian into believing they did it, it was their abilities, their ideas, their wisdom, their plans, and they put themselves on a pedestal where God should be.
Do you understand that is all satan needs?
Understand satan did NOT have to get Adam and Eve to curse God, murder someone, or deny God’s power. All satan had to do is get Adam and Eve to DOUBT what God MEANT. He only had to get them to QUESTION what God really was saying. That doubt or question is what God really meant was enough for them to take a bite of that apple. An act that changed the world forever. It is IMPERATIVE that you KNOW exactly what God’s word in the Bible means, to understand exactly what God is saying to do and not to do.
So many Christians and ministers say people will NEVER know or understand what God’s will is. That is NOT Biblical at ALL.
The Romans 12:2 Amplified edited says: “And do not be conformed to this world [with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [and know for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”
As you can see it is critical that a book written by someone who based their business models and successes on Biblical principles create a book for other Christians to be able to follow without fear of being drawn away from God.
Why listen to Dave? He has an incredible business track record based on Biblical principles, rooted in integrity and ethics at all cost.

One of the most successful outreach programs in the world. Dave witnessed time after time that most programs were overwhelming and even intimidating to most believers. In fact most of them made people believe they had to be a Spiritual giant before God could use them. But nothing could be further from the truth. Dave realized that every business salesperson has something to break the ice when they talk to someone, it was a business card. But the only person he ever saw with a business card was some pastors.
He also realized most outreach programs were either very aggressive, condemning and judge mental to most people in the world.
So he combined both of those situations into one. He created a card that even the shyest of Christians could use and hand out without saying anything.
It was called the “We Care” card. It is based on the understanding that most people don’t care what you know, until they know how much you care. Too many churches treat outreach like a contest, giving awards for the most people led to Jesus, or training people to scare or even debate with someone to win the discussion and then admit that maybe Jesus is real. But none of that is a Biblical position for salvation. Which is why a lot of people in church are not really saved.
The Bible says a person must repent, accept Jesus as their personal Savior, as the only way to Heaven. The Bible says people are saved by grace through Faith (not hope, not OK you win the discussion). It doesn’t say get someone to agree with the idea they have nothing to lose by repeating words that they accept Jesus.
The card was designed to allow people to simply hand out to people with the idea of letting people know your church cares about them and the struggles they are going through.
It started as a foldable card and on the Front in large letters it said “We Care”. On the inside it said “At some time in everyone’s life we will face struggles, problems and challenges with health, finances or family. We want you to know you don’t have to go through it alone. We at ABC123 Church want to pray for your needs.
Please submit your prayer request through the email, or phone number on the back of this card and we will pray for your needs.
The church I attended usually conducted a 12 week outreach program that consisted of overwhelming scripture memorization and I absolutely agree that is important. But again it makes most Christians feel like they have to be a spiritual giant before God can use them. I asked the pastor if I could do kind of a unique outreach ministry day to introduce the “We Care” card, he said yes.
After announcing the program multiple times during annoucnements the sign up sheet had 40 people signed up. Please understand the regular 12 week outreach training had 8 people sign up and only 3 finished it.
I planned on having people go out in groups of two (two men or two women, or married couples)
I printed up enough street maps of the area close to the church.
I highlighted each block with a number, so that every group could select the blocks they wanted to go to.
I had corresponding large manilla envelopes with the block number on it, it contained 20 of the cards, 20 pens, 20 simple prayer request cards, and the corresponding block maps.
We first met at the church for some basic instructions.
1. All you need to say is “Hello, my name is ……. And this is …… we are from ABC123 Church and we would like to give you this card and ask if you could please read it when you have time”. No Bible, No aggressive behavior, No attitude that YOU are going to win people to God (the Holy Spirit does that).
2. If the person opens the card right then and starts reading it, when they finish you can say if you have a prayer need and would like to write it done I will bring it back to the church when we are finished. If they say they do, hand them a prayer request card to fill out. If you or your partner are confident enough you can offer to pray for their needs right then. If possible ask them, are they sure they will go to heaven when they die? That could lead to a nonthreatening, no pressure opening for the Christian to talk about salvation.
3. Do not take any money or donations no matter what.
4. If you are invited in, two men should not go inside a house if it’s a women alone, two women should not go inside a house if it’s a man alone. A married couple could use their discretion.
5. IF the person handing out the card is confident enough they can say, when you have time can you take a look at this card? If the person reads it at that time, the Christian can say, if you have a need, I can pray with you right now.
6. I told everyone they absolutely had to come back afterwards. The reason is I KNEW not everyone would have good results but it was CRUCIAL they saw that other people did and the excitement those people had and to not get discouraged.
When the people came back is was exactly what I was expecting. Some people didn’t get any positive results, but some did, some were able to talk to some people about salvation, a few people agreed to come to church on Sunday and one person actually thew away the quiji board and tarot cards they were using after the Christian told them the Bible says those things are an abomination to the Lord.
While that was exciting, what was even more exciting was what happened over the next few months. People that never got involved with outreach or church activities, were picking up the We Care cards from church and handing them out with tips at restaurants, to cashiers, to friends when they visited them.
Hundreds of prayer requests were coming in a week via email, texts, calls and mail. New visitors increased and increased. I will talk more about this at the end.
I then realized we could use technology to increase the reach of the program. I suggested we copy and paste the words from the front, inside and back onto people’s facebook page, social media platform, email and text it to friends and family. This approach led to HUNDREDS of prayer request coming in a week that filled baskets at the altar. This was from a church that only had a few hundred people. Why? Because it was non-threatening for people to do. I really believed most people want to be involved, most people want to help others, most people want to do something for God. But they need a leader they can believe in and a plan that is not overwhelming to them, a plan they can see themselves doing, a plan they can see getting results.
I started contacting friends at other churches to share the program and it was then shared with other churches. In fact, it was shared at pastoral conferences, regional men’s ministries and even over the air. From what I can gather, this program has been used by hundreds, maybe thousands of churches around the world.
