My Personal Testimony

I had been very ill and was getting worse when the doctors decided to run additional tests. Our doctor sat down with my wife and me to deliver the news: the diagnosis was grim. He explained that I likely had only about two weeks to live. When I asked if he was certain, he sadly assured me he was—and shared that his own father had died of the exact same disease the year before.

I told him that since there was nothing they could do, I was going home to call people who would pray for my healing.

Too weak to drive, I sat in the passenger seat while my wife drove us home. On the way, I began calling people I absolutely knew believed God’s promise of healing, people with unshakable faith. I did not call those who believed sickness might be a lesson from God or a form of punishment, or we don't really know what God's will is. I only wanted people who fully trusted in God’s Word.

You see, I absolutely believe the Bible promises healing. It’s not just one verse like “by Jesus stripes we are healed.” There are many. One of the clearest to me is Psalm 103:2–3: “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”

Do you see what that is saying? If you believe God truly forgives "ALL" your sins, then you must also believe He heals "ALL" your diseases. It’s in the same verse. You cannot separate the two.

That evening, five people came over to pray. They stayed until around 11 p.m. I drifted in and out of sleep on the couch, my wife sitting beside me on the floor holding my hand. After the last person left, she asked how I was feeling. I’ll never forget my reply, I said: “The Bible promises me that by Jesus stripes I am healed, and the God who forgives all my sins, also heals all my diseases., and I am NOT settling for anything less than a total healing like God promises.”

I fell asleep minutes later and woke up the next morning completely, 100% healed. I got up, drove myself to the doctor’s office, and asked him to examine me. He was stunned. He sent me for repeat tests, and the results confirmed it, I was fully healed. No surgery, no procedures, no medications.

Diagnosed with throat cancer

A few years later, I was diagnosed with throat cancer. Just like before, I stood on the same belief in God’s promise to heal. That evening after receiving the diagnosis my wife and I gathered with specific friends and prayed. But when I woke up the next morning, the sharp pain was still there, like razors slicing through my throat. To be honest, my faith was shaken. I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t healed right away.

Doubt began to creep in. I remembered the people who had told me, “God had mercy on you, it’s not normal for people to be healed.” For a moment, I wondered if maybe they were right.

But my wife and I refused to give in to that thinking. We grabbed our Bibles and started reading the promises of God, speaking the scriptures out loud as much as I could, even though it was painful. We rebuked the thoughts of doubt and asked God to forgive me for wavering in my faith. I did this because I also believe James 1: 6-7 “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord." I had learned a long time ago, there is a BIG difference between Faith and hope.  My wife and I prayed late into the evening, clinging to God's promises.

The next morning, I woke up with that same sharp pain. But we didn’t stop. I tried fighting off the throughs of doubt, but it was harder. I got on my knees and asked God to forgive me for not completely believing in His promises. I asked His Spirit to release His fruit to flow through me and strengthen my Faith. Day after day, we kept declaring God’s promises and praying. Then something began to change.  About 4 or 5 days later the pain started to ease, first just a little, then more and more as the day progressed. Then the next day it felt more like a sore throat than anything serious. Then the pain was completely gone, and I could talk normally again.

We went back to the doctor, and after running the tests, he confirmed what I already knew, I was miraculously healed. Once again, no surgery, no procedure, no medication.

Let me be clear, I am not a doctor, and I’m not telling anyone not to see a doctor. What I am telling you is what God did in my life. And I am telling you that His Word is true. The Bible says He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases, and I’ve seen Him do it.
